SAL
Offers the best in all water sports and has the highest number of high quality hire companies and schools - a wind or kite surfers dream. With beautiful white beaches and clear seas all the best of the under and over water activities can be found on Sal, from deep sea fishing trips to snorkelling and diving. It also has salt mines near Pedra Lume. Here you can float in water that is 25 times more salty than normal seawater. At Buracona there are natural swimming pools with underwater caves. There are full or half day sailing tours around the Island and the snorkelling here is excellent. The Island has several companies who offer Quad Bike Tours, horse riding and there is even a Yellow Submarine Tour for those wishing to discover the underwater delights without getting wet.

BOA VISTA 
With hundreds of palms and beautiful sandy beaches, this is a stunning place for photographers and painters. For the historians there are old ceramic factories to explore, although they are now quite covered by the sand dunes. The southern beaches of this Island are one of the most important sites in the world for Loggerhead turtle nests and the best months to visit are between July and September to witness the turtles. There are also plenty of companies here offering quad biking, fishing or horse riding excursions.

FOGO (Volcano)
With dramatic, volcanic scenery - Fogo is a must for trekkers and walkers alike. There are also huge plantations here of tropical fruits and trees and the vineyards that produce the grapes for Fogo wine.

SAO VICENTE
This is the cultural hub of the archipelago and has a vibrant and authentic nightlife.

The conditions in the archipelago are excellent for all wind based water sports. This is due to the tropical winds and breezes that sweep around the islands.
